Brewer's Notes

I have tried to brew a good English IPA many times over the years but i got this one right. I used some maize to add a sweetness and keep the body down, and the hop combo just works so well.
I also dropped 20g of fresh dried Goldings hops from my plant in the keg and cable tied a bit of mylon filter cloth over the keg pickup.
Best English IPA i have had, bought or home made.

Just a few notes on this beer:

Firstly.... its a cracker IPA. It really hits all the marks.
I used about 4 tablespoons of gypsum in mash and sparge water for 50 liters of beer (CaSO4)
I dropped 20g of home grown EKG flowers freshly dried (still warm from the dehydrator) into the keg to dry hop it at the tap.... and WOW
The 1318 was struggling cause i was slack and underpitched instead of stepping the starter up, so i pitched a pack of dry nottingham at about 1.035 after a week.

and lastly, the hops were a complete stuff up. I was talking to the wife and forgot to add the 15 min addition, sooooooo i picked up the flame out addition in a hurry and chucked it in, and then realised what i had done. so i combined the 5 min and flame out addition i had planned and put it in at flame out. And by god didnt it work
