Just opened keg (Tooheys Home Brew)after 6 days ferment at or about 24 deg. C.

Tasted and was lovely. Checked spec gravity, was 1008, after starting at 1018.

Today at 1008 again, have put in Coppertun finings.

Now the problem! Tastes a bit strange. Attached photos show a mould or some such thing floating dry on top of beer. Something could have dragged in through the airblock I suppose? 2014-01-31 09.06.06.jpg2014-01-31 09.06.06.jpg

I'm not really sure, but my guess would be that is the finings picking up yeast?

What do you mean about tasting funny and how long ago did you put the finnings in?

Thanks guys for the quick response. Have tasted it again and am less sus about the brew. Have only done Coopers Sparkling Ale till now and the Tooheys is really yeasty on the nose. But I drink it Draught at Public houses. The finings were added after the "mould" find so it isn't that. I am reasonably particular about sanitising and sterilising. It is a double batch so would hate to bottle and lose all the booze.
