Brewing Position - Sunshine Coast Brewery
Although the Sunshine Coast Brewery was started 10 years ago, we have owned it for just under 2 years. In that time, we have changed the brewerys direction, significantly. While Ian Watson was brewer from January 07 to February 08, we focused our attention on quality craft beers and replaced some of the previous owner/brewers beers with new beers such as an Old English Best Bitter, a Hefe-Weizen, our mid-strength Summer Ale, a Rye ESB, and a Rauch Bier. These have proved very popular.
With the emphasis still on quality craft beers, we are looking for a brewer who can continue on the work both Ian and Craig have done. We have recently rebranded the whole business which has taken some time. We now have a new logo, new beer labels, and within a few weeks we will have new packaging for our range of beers.
As well as the actual brewing, the person will also be responsible for all other related activities, such as filtration, kegging, bottling, vat cleaning, record keeping in relation to excise, and stock control of ingredients for brewing. The ability to work within a small team is essential.
One of the attractions of the job is its location - the Sunshine Coast is a very desirable and great place to live and work with excellent schools, a university and other facilities in the area.
