Wot happens if u don't purge the keg before force carbing?? I forgot to do this while kegging my second kegged brew.

It just increases the risk of oxidising the beer as there could be a small amount of oxygen possibly left in the dead space of the keg. Question is are you going to drink the keg quickly?

Not this time it will most likely sit in the fridge for at least the next month

How long ago was it kegged? Cant you just purge it out now?

Yer I did but having oxygen in there while force carbing affect it?

They say its best practise and it reduces oxidisation which is probably correct. I am not an anti-purgist, nor am I suggesting that you refrain from following this practise, just saying I have never done this and never had an oxidisation problem in over 4 years so I wouldn't be losing sleep over it.

If you purge after filling the keg there will be a higher risk of removing aroma from your beer, especially if it currently has good hop aroma.
