Hi fellas,

Got some Pride of Ringwood pellets from my local brewshop yesterday.

Just noticed the packet says 5.8% AA... I thought POR hops were usually around 10%?

Got me wondering if the shop has got it wrong on the label?

Has anybody had them this low before?

Cheers

Mike

I have never seen POR at 5.5%....... <_< Are they brown?

Recently we had a batch of Challenger at around 11% from an above sponsor and the general % is around 5%.

Hmmm, the mind boggles

I'm guessing they've been mis-labelled. So you've either got POR and the aa% is wrong or the aa% is correct and it's a hop other than POR. I'm guessing the packet didn't specify what year they were harvested. How were they packaged?

I would suggest they got it wrong.
As far as I'm aware much of the local crop comes via just 1 or two suppliers and so if you can't check with the shop I'm sure you could confirm with one of them.

Thanks for the replys guys.

Will go back to the brewshop and check with them.

Im pretty sure its a mix up with the labeling.

Cheers

Mike
