Or at Epoque (belgian beer cafe)?
I would be up for that - we often head up to North Sydney for a Mussel Pot and some beers :D

AMAZING PLACE!!!!

We've got a Belgian cafe in Perth that seems to have *exactly* the same beer range. I've never had a meal there, i'll have to give it a go sometime though.

I was there on Friday after work, a little too crowded for my liking though. Way too packed and way too noisy. Sank a couple Leffe Blonde and headed off. Last time I was there was about 2pm in the arvo, was great there, sat at the bar and had a Rochefort Trappistes 10. Had a chat to the bartender about beer availability too.

That place is excellent. I had some excellent mussels and excellent beers there. Highly recommended.

Hands up all those ready for the Ozrats pis-Syd weekend!!!,

Well first things first. On the Friday(the 4th of April) arvo we will meet at approx 5.30 pm near the front door of the motel, since the real ale night starts at 5pm. Also I WILL be attending the evening even though its the SWMBO's b/day. Shes off to a work do. POOR ME
Those without transport, the suggestion has been to get together and get a cab( 4 way split on the cab fare should be reasonable)The Nags Head pub is, from memory, in St Johns rd,Glebe, cnr of lodge st.

Hopefully someone will bring a camera?!?

See ya in the carpark

Great! :)

I'll be there, and I'll bring a camera along.

I've got no problem with splitting a cab either.

edit - Well, I'm off to Syd, seeyas at 5.30ish on Friday!

Linz,

As I'll be catching up with you guys on Sat (probably afternoon) can you give me an idea of the schedule for the day or something.

Any luck with the MSB thing?

Well guys and gals(?),
The itinerary I have planned is:
Friday
5.30pm: meet at motel and get cabs to nags head
finish in regards to next item
Saturday
9.30am: meet at motel for trek to Leon's for brew day
finish about 4.30( I think)
7.00pm: meet at The Australian Hotel in the rocks
When all of the party arrive move to the
Lord Nelson Hotel
finish in regards to next item
Sunday
10.00am: Motel check out for those leaving on the Sunday
and meet for the next bit.
11.00am: ONE hour tour of The Malt Shovel Brewery :p

Possibly move on to the Lowenbrau Kellar in the rocks for more of the same

And that makes for one Pis-Syd weekend B)

Linz

I'll be up for the Friday night at the Nags head.
As for the rest of the weekend, I'll have to see how some personal things pan out.

I know Linz, and have seen Kook's mug shot on his kegging post so I guess we'll work out who everyone is.

See whoever makes it to the Nags Head on Friday.

Beers,
Doc

I won't be able to make any events this weekend :( but caught up with kook for a laksa and a couple of schooners at lunchtime today (Wed).

Have a good weekend all. I hope to make it along to the next one!
:chug:

Unforunately I was unavailiable to get in there for some of the weekend's activities, however I will try my best to make an appearance at the next meet - I hope there is one.

From what I hear everyone had a great time!!!

A big thanks to Linz for letting everyone on the fourm know about the weekend, and I hope there are more to come.

With the weekend over it's time for all good things to come to and end so this thread will no longer be 'sticky' :D

Look for my "Photo based" blurb about the weekend in a week or so. Just need to get the films developed (my digital camera is old and crap, and doesnt hold many photos, so I took along a "normal" camera).

Once again (as mentioned in the Three Cheers thread) thanks heaps to Linz for organising and making the weekend what it was, fantastic.

Here is the Main thread I was looking for. What a blast of a weekend..for me. Driving Kook and JM around. Still got a stubbie of the Leffe Radius(?)red clone Leon made that day.
