Hi All,

The decision has been made that we at The Country Brewer will NOT be hosting
the NSW Home Brewing Championships this year. There are not enough hours in
the day and taking this on for a fourth year would be spreading our
recourses too thin.

We have devoted allot of our time and effort into this event over the past
three years and would like to again thank the countless team of volunteers
that made it a success.

So ... time for someone else to put up their hand and run with this one!

This is an extraordinary amount of work and if done poorly can be very
discouraging for the entrants ... so the decision to host this event should
not be taken lightly.

This is a definite loss to the NSW brewing community.
TCB has done an awesome job of running the NSW comp that I've seen in the last couple of years.
This is definitely recognized when people still haven't received trophys and recipe booklets from the 2003 National Comp.
In fact lately repeated requests for info on the Nat. Comp to the OCB brewlist have gone unanswered.

Hopefully someone will step up to run the NSW Comp, otherwise it will be a major loss to the NSW brewing community.

Thanks again to TCB for running it the last 3 years.

Thank's for the kind words Doc (your cheque is in the mail).

Let's just hope that no-one on the Nat. Comp committees puts up their hands to run our NSW Comp. lol

To be quite honest, NSW already has the best competition in Australia ... Bathurst!

Maybe it should just be the case that Bathurst is NSW qualifier for the Nationals ... that is for those who want to bother entering the Nationals. Personally, a first at Bathurst out ranks a first in any other comp in Australia

:)
