Yes it is true that Linux is not imune, but the major difference is that a virus cant execute itself without the Linux the users permission. And if you do get a virus, it can only wipe out that user, not the system
The only thing that frustrates me is the amount of times that you are required to use your user password to do certain tasks.. But at least you know what is being asked for permission, and you know EXACTLY what your OS is doing
Linux is great for securing files with multiple users...In fact other users can not even see what you have in your user space
