At this point in time the cheopo one is better, because it's taking up less room. Other than that, it's performing the same function, and (unless it blows up) doesn't appear to be inferior.

Even the labels on the item are wrong, 15A on the front 220V, 2000w on the back?. It doesn't add up.
Aussie voltage is 230v 2000/230 = 8.6A

Spend the extra coin on a well made temp controller and keep your beer, family and home safe.
 
I've been using one for well over a year with no problems, as has a mate of mine. Only annoying thing is the plug is the opposite direction to the socket, so it was upside down in the powerpoint.

EDIT: more positives: one handed operation, probably doesn't require me to press two tiny buttons with two hands for what feels like 2 minutes to switch from 18 to 0 degrees.
