Both these units use thermowell with a BIAB system, I'd be a little worried about ripping the bag with the thermowell when lifting out.

Anyone use a thermowell with BIAB?
I have a long kegking weldless thermometer in my BIAB pot. I have a pizza tray (plenty of holes) and some steel bolts lifting it off the bottom. No issue at all, also allows for heating the wort if it drops too low without lifting the bag out.

I run a thermowell with biab. The bag rests on the thermowell no issues.. The way the grain fills out the bag, there's really no way it will get caught, there's no loose fabric when your doing the pull. It's all toight due to the grains/liquor.

My thermowell sits just above my stainless tray I have above the exposed element
