Hey Guys,

Just purchased a shiny new turkey burner from G&G and need to know the trick to getting the maximum heat intensity out of it. The problem is that when I open up the gas bottle valve more than a little bit the flame is blown out by the gas. I know that I should be controling the flame with the regulator but it doesn't seem to adjust much in the way of gas output at all... at least not compared with turning the gas bottle valve even slightly.

Can anyone help me out?

Cheers,

Mark

Mark.

Is the butterfly plate fully-open? In other words not obstructing the venturi at all? If you try and cover the holes it won't operate correctly. I just wind the reg fully open and control the flame from the needle valve.

Alternatively just use the reg to adjust the flame if the valve gets hot.
