Hi Darren,

At the next floccs at my place we will crush a kilo of pils malt and let is rest at 40c for 60 minutes and report back here the results.

60 minutes should be long enough .... at least for a few samples to pass the time.

Will you bring the pils malt? I'll provide the tun and the water. :)

Steve.

Chiller,
Sounds like a great idea. Should be interesting. We could plot the conversion against time. Also running some at normal mash temps would be interesting to see how long until coversion is complete.
cheers
Darren

Side by side should be easy to do.
And an interesting experiment.

So now you need to bring 2 kilos of Pils malt. Just bring 25 kgs and leave the rest in case we need to conduct other experiments. :)

Steve
