Is there any way to determine quantities/ratios to use when mixing hops, is AA any indication of strenghth of flavour/aroma? ie. will a high AA hop dominate a lower AA hop when used in equal quantities, looking just at flavour and aroma here not bittering.

Aa% is a quantification of bittering potential only.

There are other quantifications that can offer some info (cohumulone levels, myrcene, farnesene, etc).

Hop chemistry is complex, learning about hop combos effectively comes from tasting and experience.

well said..

tricky bit is it changes from year to yer as well, but so do your tastes, I remember adding 15g to kit brews and being blown away.. I now add 250g to cubes and another handful or to for dry hopping... Its a bloody fun learning curve but when you find the ones you like...
