Don't get the old bloke started!

I have a Mashmaster Mill which has geared rollers. Have just recently hooked it up to a motor via a spider coupler. I've seen a 7% increase in efficiency now that the rollers aren't shreading the crap out of the grain like the drill did.

What do you guys with the mm2 run your roller gap at?

About 0.9mm. I BIAB so I could go finer.

Factory is around 0.9 - 1.0 mm.

I adjusted with a feeler gauge. You need to ensure you measure both ends of the roll when adjusting, as it will "walk".

Granted a detended setup like Crankandstein have would be a whole lot easier, but adjusting the gap isn't the most difficult thing I've had with brewing, and really only took about 5 minutes. Pretty much set and forget.

Any fav mills .Battered savs diy mill she is still going strong.Wet the grain the last brew I was amazed on how puffed up the husked were and still increase eff might be a plan in the future.
