Hi All

This Sunday coming Melbourne Brewers are undertaking the mother of all brew days ... for a second time!

We enjoyed it so much last time going to do it all over again.

6 Different style, 9+ brewers, 200+ liters ... this time it is in aid of the clubs annual dinner in July, but do we really need a reason?

Here is the perfect opportunity to witness all grain brewing done by some of the clubs most accomplished brewers, in most probably 7 completely different ways.

Come along and join the fun and frivolity.

Wonder at Peter's beer-o-matic 9000, almost fully automatic beer producing machine ... last time he brewed the Oktoberfest that took out Best of Show at Beerfest!

Wonder at some of the hapless other brewers and how they even managed to produce anything.

Come and tells us all what we are doing wrong ( I dare you :beerbang: )

BBQ will be available $2 sausages

All welcome, held at the usual venue:

Peters warehouse
Factory 11,
12 Edina Road,
Ferntree Gully 3156 (Mel 73 K1)

This should be a cracking day - I am looking forward to assisting on the Aussie Pale Ale with Ian.

Chris - do we have an agreed kick-off time for when things are going to get going on this one?

Cheers,

Brendo

If you're in Melbourne and want to see how an AG works, or just some ideas for your set-up this would be the way to do it.

Best of all you'll see gear from the biggest bling right through to low-tech options. (Do you really need a march pump or just a couple of buckets?!! find out what works for you here!). Should be good.

Sweet, i'll try and be there to watch how it's done! sounds great.

Also a great opportunity to have a chat to experienced grain brewers - we all do things a bit differently for a variety of reasons. Find out waht & why!

On tap: Porter, APA, Wheat, Weizenbock, ESB

Fermenting: English Strong (OLD) Ale, Some sort of "small" ale using 2 runnings from the Old

Aged Bottle: Strong Scotch, IPA, Belgian blond

Planning: " Mystery" Ale using all the spent grain from the 6 beers being made at Melbourne Brewers brew day, IPA, Scottish Ale, Dubbel

Hi Everyone,

Come and see the 2 Mic's brew their rhubarb saison. It promises
to be the most outrageous beer there. Can't wait to taste it :p

Kick off will be around 9am ... for those who are organised.

Would expect that something will be going on till at least mid afternoon or so.

Cheers

Chris

Hi All,

Brewday is going full steam ahead, currently we are planning on brewing:

Australian Pale Ale

Dunkel Weizen

English IPA

Some type of fruit beer (rhubarb siason?? or lambic).

APA

American Brown

Mystery beer?? - you will have to come along to believe what this guy is attempting.

And given that is going to piss down all weekend, what better way to spend the day then participating in a brewday.

Also forgot to mention "as featured in Beer and Brewer" in the opening spiel. Think we made it into the Summer edition last year.
