Hey guys,

Sounds like it's going to be a great meeting.

I'm especially interested in the equipment swap.

Yeah, that's a pretty good idea - definitely coming for that. And I'll bring along my electronic temperature controlled box for show and tell, so you guys can see I'm not a crackpot

Look forward to it.
Going the get boys to help me build a boiler and HLT out of my two kegs.

I wonder what my chances of anyone having some digital scales are? I'll just have to truck along with a few beers in tow and see what's there.

Anybody know of a good place to source old 50L kegs for converting to boilers?

" Boiler Construction Discussion
Haig will explain the process for converting 50L/80L
kegs to boilers. A construction day is scheduled for
Sun 4 November. "

I know at least one extract brewer looking at going into AG that would be interested in this.

Well, we all know where they traditionally come from. In fact, if you don't steal it from the back of a pub any beer you make in it will taste insipid and weak

Fish

I bought mine at Kmart, I think for about $35.

The problem of which beer to bring along tonite - only homebrew I've got is green, and the only commercial stuff on hand is a slab of VB some tradie gave me in exchange for some materials (you might think I did poorly in that deal!).

Can't bring the VB as I'll probably be drummed out of the club :D

I must away; to Purvis to collect something good for the warm weather...

I've got some Schofferhofer to compare against the Fed-5 Weizen.

Good night at the Transport, last Thursday, for the Fed-5-Hefe launch.
Although I had a bit of trouble getting home.
Got on the last train, but must have dozed off and woke up at the end stop, Lilydale.
Had the catch a taxi home, back to my station.

Don't you hate when that happens?

My mate did better, at least the conductor woke him up at his stop on his line.

What a pity I left the beer belt at the meeting... I'm sure someone snapped up such a prized possession! ;)

You could have been our club mascot. Some sort of craft brewers duff man! YEAH!
