Hi guys, gals:

I was wondering what is the conversion from liquid malt to dried malt, ie what is the equivalent of 1.5kg of liquid malt in dried malt. Also does it matter what type of malt or is it all the same converting. I'm converting 1.5kg of wheat liquid malt into dried.

Thanks. :icon_cheers: :icon_cheers: :icon_cheers:

I reckon I saw on here somewhere that you want to use 80% so you'd be after 1.2kg. I'm sure someone will be along shortly with a more detailed answer.

liquid malt is rougly 20% water, so you want to use 20% less dried malt. As for different types, I'm not sure if there's a difference.

Yep, general concensis is liquid malt contains 20% water so just deduct 20% from the liquid equivilent if you intend on using dry
