So the lentils are only ever an adjunct, that's a shame. When I first got wind of this I thought they contributed fermentables :(
 
Was an interesting eice about the Lentil beer

Lentils have lots of protien so not real good for doing a 100% mash with it

I dare say if it was 100% lentils you'd get wind of it very quickly

During prohibition in the US, Al Capone's mob made beer using peas. Apparently you can start the peas sprouting to get some enzyme conversion. I don't recall it being 100% pea beer. There are recipes out on the net.

Yeah would have to be very much an "out doors" beer I'd say.

Would sell well in Byron Bay too I reckon. :D
