Hi all,
I am looking at putting down a Porter style K & K and was after any comments.
I propose,
Can Coopers Dark Ale
500gms Choc Malt 600
200gms Light Crystal 60
500gms LDME
300gms Dex
250gms Malto Dex
Goldings 10gms 5min
Cascade Dryhop

I am not after a high bitterness and as the kit has an IBU of around 32 I am looking at ofsetting this with grains
The Goldings and Cascade are for flavour and aroma

Any comments are aprciated.

Have a good ANZAC day.

If you have a design in mind then there's no harm in trying. Just wasn't sure if it was just because it was available.

Cascade is grapefruity to my palate and not something that springs to mind as a hop I'd associate with porter. That doesn't mean it's a bad thing.

If you want to keep in step with English hops and add in citrus, you could try target. They go well with EKG too.
