there sure is alot of info on dogbolter kits not sure if they are all available in aus tho..

which dogbolter?
The latest maltida bay version? the mass produced version buy CUB that was around for awhile? the very original sail and anchor version? the second sail and anchor version? or the real ale one mentioned in that page from randy rob?
From the maltida bay site it says that they changed to making it a dark lager in the munich style quite quickly after its first release which was something like the real ale version mentioned.click here
The swill version was a blandish reasonble drop but nothing special, the sail and anchor dark lager version I remember was to die for but for some reason they don't ship the latest matilda bay version over here so haven't tried that.

I made something similiar with 34/70 some munich malt, crystal malt and some choc wheat. A partial mash with that on top of a can of extract and some hersbrucker hops is the direction i'd go in.
