Pumpy ;)

Had a quick look. Doesn't look bad at all. Probably with stick the grain bill close to what I have on hand.

Only one problem. I don't see any First Gold hops in that recipe.
I'm not sure I'm quite ready for an english beer with no First Gold again yet but I suppose I might, just might, be able to manage it ;)

How close are those maiden AG beers to tasting Ben?? :chug:

cheers Ross

I've tasted them both Ross.

The IPA is one reason I am thinking about brewing another IPA.

I am obviously biased but it's bloody beautiful!!!

The Pride/Nelson Sauvin ale is also turning out nice but I think needs another little bit to come into its own.

The IPA is in serious danger of not making it to the next meet :)

I am hiding some bottle away in a cupboard. Under some stuff. With a sign on the door saying beware of the dog to warn myself off.

With 3 fermenters mid term, I'll be only brewing chilli sauce - but will have a go at adding hops. If i can make anything half decent, I'll add it in the recipes section! :p

InCider.

Sounds like a grain pick-up is in order... :chug:

Ive been brewing a stout and ipa & fermenting the isb's belgian blonde & strong in the last few weeks. so this weekend will be drinking the 1st 2 with a dozen mates at a fri / sat night bbq in Canberra. the blonde is almost half gone, very nice session beer & hopefully the strong will be finished for kegging / bottling next week. If i have enough time on mon pm, will brew up another stout or maybe ipa or maybe lcpa ... mmm too many choices !

Finally got myself a decent thermometer so I'll be giving my first mini mash a go.
60 min mash, 60 min boil, top up with a kit.
Just a simple amber ale, and I'm keen to get away from brewing all kits, for a change.

Cheers and beers.

I have a Jamaican Metheglin, a Belgian Pale and an American Pale all in primary right now. I have a Belgian Dubbel in cube waiting for fridge/fermenter space to come free. Next cab off the rank will be another (different) APA in half-size batch which will probably be brewed on Sunday. After that will be a Pilsener and another APA (differently hopped). There's some yeast work to be done, but it is basically a pretty quiet weekend... *sigh*

I qualified for the first round of the championship matchplay, so playing golf on Saturday morning. Then off to the city to the international beer festival. I dont think I will get to 40 different stands so are there any "must try" beers out there?

Kabooby :)

Pumpy,

You need to be a part of at least one of the swaps in the NSW Case swaps at some point. That way, not only can you enjoy great ESB's like Schmick's, but a variety of others whilst contributing your own :)

Cheers.

PS: ReVox how did it turn out? :)

Duff,

Pumpy and the other guys got the opportunity to try the other Xmas case beers. I share my spoils of xmas cases with the members of MALE when I get them...Pumpy gets to brew and BOTTLE the next one!!! ;)

I'm hopefully going to brew a BoPils on sunday... its all booked in with SWMBO, so the hard parts over

Monday could be my second ever lager - as above, but with some Pacific Hallertau...

Brew small, brew often!

What is it with all these Bohemian Pilsners being brewed!!??

I am also thinking of brewing a pilsner on Monday. Should get my order of Czech Saaz from Gerard today some time hopefully. But I'm wondering if I should try and even the keel a bit and brew a hopburst APA instead. :p

Good stuff Rook. Hope you enjoy it as much as a I did. :)

Great weather for stout actually. Brrrrrr.
