A few years ago I was on a 'Neanderthal' Paleo diet and one of the big things is to eat as many parts of the animal as possible, not just muscle meat as we do nowadays. So I did the ususal liver, kidneys, etc. Then I bought a couple of big ox hearts and made a massive casserole.
I have never farted so much in my life - it was toxic - and I ended up in the spare room for a couple of nights. On a trip the following month we headed down to Evans Head and got to a servo at Grafton about 9 in the morning, no brekky yet so I ate 2 Mrs Macs pies.
Oh dear, so now we know what the major ingredient is in Mrs Macs.
Also with the idea of food miles, why the Fcuck to we have to send pies across the continent from Perth to the East Coast? Lunacy.
Best pie hereabouts is CJ's Pastries opposite the Caboolture railway station.
