Brewer tasting notes:
James Squire India Pale Ale is made with Munich and pale malt, so it brews to a rich, golden colour, with a robust, malty character. Its earthy, floral aromas are a result of dry-hopping with English Fuggles hops added in generous amounts directly into the maturation tanks. This India Pale Ale is handcrafted in the traditional style. It is higher in alcohol, effervescent and has a characteristic highly hopped bitterness with a crisp finish on the palate.
I find it very hard to believe there isn't some kind of medium crystal in there. The colour seems too dark for just pale and munich. Also shoot for 45 IBUs.
The recipe I would go with would be something like:
83% Pale Malt
15% Munich
2% Crystal
Bitter with POR (or Super Pride) to 45 IBUs
1-2g/L Fuggles @ 20mins
1-2g/L Fuggles @ 10mins
1-2g/L Fuggles Flameout or Dry Hop
Personally I can't detect any dry hop characteristics - certainly not a whole bunch of hop aroma by the time you get it in the bottleshop. I would think adding the aroma hops at flameout will get you something closer to the packaged product than dry hopping. But that's just my personal tastes I am going off...
