Yo BrewHars!

As a novice brewer i have already been lured by the grain method as i hear of everyones success.

I will be pursuing the BIAB method and wondered can i use a 20L pot to do my brew stuff, then add it to cold water in the fermenter to make up my 22/23L?

Can you steep grain, add hops, etc in 15-17L of water only then make the rest up in cold water?

This would save me the coin in a 40+L pot or carving up a 50L keg and having to brew on ring burners outside or similar.

Cheers lads/lasses

Check this thread out, I asked the same question pretty much and got some excellent answers, I have done 2 mini biabs this way. Just racked both of them to secondary tonight and they tasted awesome.
