Yes while we can say China will have definite Quality control, which is reflected in the price. one can wonder about some of the "quality"of the growing conditions in India. However, this is in the far North mountainious country, which is clean. I would give them a go at a pinch, trouble is I have a load of other hops coming.

You really must learn the difference between racist and racial as explained many times previous. My comment was neither racist or racial, instead it was regional, describing the growing conditions in a region.

I had my first couple of Kingfishers at an Indian Restaurant and it's not a bad brew. Assuming it uses domestic hops then put me down for a couple of kilos.

Edit: I would guess South America or South Africa, as you mention Southern Hemisphere. Brazil? Argentina?

The last time I had a Kingfisher it was brewed at Australian Independent Breweries and tasted flabby & horrible. I'd assume no Indian hops in that one.

I had a Taj Mahal after that that was light, delicate and superb. At the risk of sounding racist ( ) I'd assume that had Indian hops and a shitload of rice.

Fortunately I have know GLS for over 10 years. If you do not think he pats the cat backwards whilst singing Waltzing Matilda with a mouth full of marbles whilst wearing concrete shoes then you have never bothered to call the man. GLS has created many a beast, and in the light of these current transactions he is doing it again. He is also failing to profit from it, which is maybe something he may start some time soon ... as long as it does not take the fun out of it for him.

My point, yes ... as he may be a bit different, GLS is being like cool water in between stone. All that has to happen if for things to get cold and he turns to ice .... and the rest happens ...

Any chance of a 'Pompadom and 6 pints of lager' hop in this the next bulk buy?

Not even gunna bother researching this so its just a stupid observation but.......
If cannabis began in the himalayas < (no idea how to spell that) and it has the same need for 12 hours darkness to flower and it is the closest relation to hops then logic says hops should grow very well in the same region.

No one is disputing that the terroir is unsuitable for hops - it's probably fantastic.

And yes, human poo as fertiliser is rather common in the region. Iodine wash to be 100% sure of all nasties being eradicated prior to cooking gets on one's tastebuds after a while...

The other bit is the QA/QC and the business and logistics part of the deal. If there's a way to gain a sample quantity before the main deal then I'm sure it would be less uncomfortable for some.
