Tolerant - yes. Supportive - sometimes. Understands - no.

+1 Beautifully articulated. I always get the feeling i'm in trouble when I brew or do anything brew related. Come back up stairs and all is fine... verry suspicious.
She doesn't drink beer and everytime I ask her to take a sample she puckers her face and says, 'It tastes like VB!' ...with a wry smile. She knows how to get under my skin.

I ticked..."Yes". I think it would be blasphemy to suggest otherwise

in the same amount physical space a wife takes up, you could easily stack two 60L fermentors?? why would you want a wife??
Yes, but can a stack of fermenter's pick you up from the pub when you've had a few too many?

Can a stack of fermenter's cook a mean lasagne?

Can a stack of fermenter's attend to your manly needs?

Actually, don't answer that last one :icon_vomit:

 Gold!

Hmmmmm? My wife is short, 5'0, so maybe exchange her for a 60lt and 30lt instead?

@WB

Yes, but can a stack of fermenter's pick you up from the pub when you've had a few too many? No but on the money you save making HB you can afford the taxi fare

Can a stack of fermenter's cook a mean lasagne? I do 90% of the cooking so no loss there either.

Can a stack of fermenter's attend to your manly needs? Well if you're creative I guess they can? But again money saved not having a SWMBO at all pays for a lot meaningless bonking with women of loose morals.

You are a mean man Sera but I like your style SWMBO indeed...........never

;)

Yes ... definantly ... she got me started with a Coopers kit 3 Christmas's ago ... let me use the kitchen until I went AG ... helped me plan the brewery and bar ... drinks more than her fair share ... and as long as there's always a hoppy ale or pils on tap she's happy. Which leaves all the wheaties and belgians for me!

But there's more ... insisted I buy extra kegs so that there was always beer maturing and lagering ... insisted I spend the extra on Weyerman's Pilsner Malt (for her pils) ... says she can taste the difference between a bitter made on Baird's Maris Otter and one made on the Floor Roasted variety (dammed if I could) ... and rings me at work to let me know she's turned the air con on in the brewery because the fermenters were getting a little warm.

I am a blessed man ...

My wife is very understanding and supportive as well. I'm very lucky. She's very lucky that I happen to like her favourite beer style as much as she does. ;)

In the supportive wife basket.

I think over the years she has just come to the understanding that i am going to spend money on my brewery and beer.

I try and brew something she really likes and so far the Blackberry wit is her fav.

Understanding.......depends on how many 50 dollar notes i peel off and hand her before i start to brew :p

Pretty sure my missus forces me to brew, at least thats how it is in my little wonderland..

She is 100% supportive of my hobby, I think is is quite glad I have one.
Happy to do Grain runs to CB for me. Not happy to go near my BrewRig unescorted which is fine by me....

Actually my wife is not only supportive, i'm realising she has pretty good taste in beer. She even loves a good IPA. She would drink more if it didn't affect her weight, but she's always up for a taste and comment.

I tell you what - it makes a hell of a difference when she's supportive.

I mentioned to my other half what sappas said and she reckons it's more like this.

Tolerant - INCREDIBLY. Supportive - MOSTLY. Understands - NOT REALLY BUT IT MAKES MY PETEY HAPPY.

Ok tell me this! How many of you understand your wifes? LOL!

Katie runs and hides!

I only have one and technically she's not my wife but we've been together close to 11 years. I would say we both understand each other around 80-90%. To stay together you need surprises and growth so that 10-20% should hopefully remain reasonably constant.

My keg fridge has pride of place in the dining room. I think that's a yes.
