Hi,

I have just purchased some PBW but am unsure how to use it, the instructions on my container have rubbed off.

How would i go about cleaning my urn with it? Do i use hot water and leave to soak, then scrub? Do i boil some water in the urn and then add PBW? How long do i leave it etc etc...

Warm to hot water 1 t spoon per 2.5L

let it sit for at least 30min longer if it is to clean up a hard or large buildup (maybe over night)

Can I also use it to clean my fermentor?

From fivestar chemicals website

And rinse with same temp water , till it doesn't feel slippery anymore,
i luurv this stuff and starsan, a winning combination IMHO

This is all i use now for everything fermenters, kegs and all, Also as long as its reasonably clean and still feels slippery you can reuse it, ie use it fresh and warm for your fermenters before you sanatize, then reuse it cold to soak kegs , used fermenters and the like. (hope this makes sense, i have been drinking)

Yes to clean

but you have to use a different product to sanitise like Starsan

PBW and Starsan as a combo works really well
