HI All,

Can anyone out there tell me if my kit brew has been fermenting for too long and isnt worth bottling? I have a lager that has been fermenting for 5 weeks now, ordinarily I would never let it go for this long how ever I was called out of town at short notice. I have had it at 13 degrees in a temp controlled fridge.

Thanks.

it will be fine, bottle away.

How does it look on the surface? How does it smell? And most importantly, how does it taste? Pour a bit out of the tap and toss to get rid of what settled in the tap, then have a sample, result?

Should be fine. You've got temp stable. If there's a hop bomb that's been sitting in it you might get some grassy flavours but definitely bottle or keg it. As per grottos advice, taste test at bottling.

Thanks for the replies. I will take the advice and bottle after a taste test.
