NEW - First brewed in 2016

Kinda lost faith to think 150 Lashes, Fat Yak and Wild Yak are even a part of that list.

Good on Pirate Life though, great beers. As is 4 Pines APA :icon_drool2:

About as legit as the triple j hottest 100 these days, I'd rather read people's reviews on AHB in what's in the glass commercial thread and seek out beers from there

Balter XPA no.4 fark me!? I mean it's alright but no.4 come on. I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact it's owned by 2 world champ surfers.

how the f*ck is S&W Pacific Ale the #1 beer in the country

crazy crazy popularity contest

Look, it is a popularity contest and having a big brewery social media account with lots of followers counts. But me personally, 2 years ago I thought 150 lashes was the tits, if people who voted for it this year check out the true craft beers on that list and have their minds blown then it's a good thing.

When 'macklemore thrift shop' took out number 1 a few years back I came to the realisation that jjj was lost at sea. Good song, but a gimmick nonetheless, definitely not no. 1 material.
.,.we talking beer or music here in this thread mofos? Cause I'm talking music FYI.
Cheers,

Beer and it's a popularity contest so why are people upset? The fact that there's even 100+ non mainstream/major beers to choose is testament to how far we've come in a short space of time.

Well said. Subjective matters will always fire people up, always entertaining until tears are shed.

But if I had my way they should just hurry up and ban the mega breweries haha.

There'd be much debate on what constitutes mega.

I don't think it matters. People vote, a list gets generated and someone like me looks and sees a bunch of beer he's never tried.

That means beer for me so really I win.

Couldn't agree more and to be honest, what does a major brewer really gain from being on that list anyway? Pretty much anyone who's interested in the results would already be aware of their product and then you have to wonder why, with all that budget, they can only afford to put a handful of hops in their beers and can't brew a #1!

Good points, well made.

Plus I've recently completely revised my opinion of S&W pacific ale as I've found a pub near work that serves it at a reasonable temperature and it's a really good beer. Best craft beer in Australia? Maybe not, but served right it's bloody good.
