Basic question. What is hopbursting? Is it just using a wide variety of hops in a brew? Please explain. :icon_cheers:

Hop bursting is mixing different hops together, blending them, and then weighing out the "mix" into your hop additons..

For example, 50g Cascade, 50g Amarillio, 30g Williamette = 130g Hop Burst

then you can make your additions with the hop burst

Hopbursting is more about adding only late addition hops eg 20, 15, 10, 5 and 0 min. This is usually done with a hop combination because a single hop can be a bit boring.

The original thread is on the brewboard if you want to track it down. There are also a few thread on ahb.
