Aside from homebrewing, what other interests or hobbies do you spend time on?

I love low & slow barbecuing with my offset smoker and pairing various barbecued meats with the different beers that I make in addition to vinyl deejaying. I also have been producing a Deep House music show featuring music from my vinyl record collection.

Smoking meats, growing and roasting coffee beans, gardening, growing gourmet and medicinal mushrooms... I recently bought a dj controller and have been enjoying mixing music again on a Sunday afternoon, still dabble with the bass guitar.
Definitely not short of hobbies!

I'm also attempting to get my sourdough baking off the ground but do not have the timing down pat just yet.

Unfortunately most of my hobbies have gone by the wayside the last few years (including brewing). A small child, specialist medical exams and a very busy work schedule have kiboshed most of my hobbies.

Thankfully life is starting to look a little more normal again, so I can get back into some things that I've enjoyed over the years. Have recently cracked out the old deluxe Stratocaster, have got some $$$ squirrelled away for a braumeister and some new kegs and have just started ocean swimming again (a bit chilly at the moment, but aside from some shrunken knackers, very good for the constitution).

I'm American and like to collect automatic weapons, grenades, artillery and flak jackets.

Seriously? Writing, curing bacon and salmon. Too many things I used to do are out of the question.

Rolling around on the ground with heavy breathing sweaty men whilst we attempt to strangle one another.

Also known a BJJ.

And Ducatis.

Do go on..

Do go on..
Nothing that makes purple elephants or anything appear, just Lions mane (Hericium erinaceous) , Turkey tail (trametes versicolour), Reishi (Ganoderma lingzhi), Cordyceps militaris and (so far unsuccessfully) Maitake (Grifola frondosa).

If I lived somewhere colder I would 100% try my luck with truffle inoculation.

I wouldn’t call it a hobby but a lot of my spare time was going into training (and raising money for charity) for the Sydney marathon that I completed for the 2nd time a couple of months ago. I’m not going to do that anymore.

My kids and 5 and 7 so I’m kinda getting back into a few hobbies I had as a kid, mainly skateboarding and bmx riding, along with my main hobbies or brewing and making biltong.

Fishing mainly for me (boat and kayak), just come back from Cape York (6th trip up there)
Gardening, woodwork and generally making stuff (I have a pretty well-equipped workshop)

Making holes in stuff from 5.5mm slowly to a faster 6mm and the ole 7.62mm, with a bit of beer n jerky from the same bench-work keeps getting in the way!
