I don't have the new model but I do have the wifi module. Pretty handy as I can just check how the brew is progressing from anywhere. I usually do other stuff while I'm waiting for mash to finish or boil so gives me a good indication of how much time I have to finish other stuff.

I am more curious as to what the extra tap/drain on the bottom could be used for.

According to their website, it's for draining wastewater. Tipping them upside down isn't that difficult, so not sure how much of a selling point that is.

The cooling jacket is interesting, I couldn't find much about it on the BM forum though.

If it's efficient and suitable for our climate, it might worth considering, otherwise it's just bling.
