Help! Need Temp Probe For Fridgemate

I purchased a fridgemate about 2 years ago, never quite got around to setting it up. And of course when i want to do it now, I can't find the bloody temperature probe.

So...how do I fix this?
- is there an off the shelf equivalent, from the reading I've done it's a 20k NTC thermistor, and jaycar is open tomorrow
- does anyone have a standard one floating about (Perth), you might have replaced it with the flancy stainless one
- or do I need to get a stainless one myself, it's slightly cheaper than buying a whole new unit.

Any help would be apppreciated.
