Help Extreme Foaming In Wort?

Hi All
Put a Mexican brew on the other day did everything as I would normally and all seamed fine for the last 2 days but this morning I have noticed that the brew has foamed up alot in the wort and was coming out of water trap. I removed the water trap cleaned and put fresh water in.
Any ideas what is wrong? Has this brew gone off?
Only thing done different was I put in a dry enzyme that came with the brew that i have not used before.
All help apreciated?

I wouldn't bee too worried about it. Have a beer and relax.

What size is your fermenter?

What volume is your batch?
 
This foamy stuff is called krausen, and it forms when your yeast is at it's happiest, fermenting your wort as fast as it can. Different yeasts and different fermentation conditions (heat etc) can make the difference between a nice near foam and a crazy sludge moster that can't be contained by the fermenter...

As others have said. All is good, relax, have a beer.

A high Krausen is a good thing, that's what you want...as long as brewing temps are under control and it is not caused by high temps.
 
Thanks all temperature is only about 18-20 c so hopefully everything is ok and beer will taste ok brewing in a 30 litre wort filled to 23 litres as is standard i guess?
