Hey all
I'm wanting to make a heat shield for my boil kettle. Currently it's a 70L stainless pot - however it seems to be closer to 65L and I'm going to upgrade it to a 100L as I was right on the limit with my last batch.
I was thinking of creating a ring of stainless sheet just a tad under the diameter of the pot and extending down just below the base of the flames.
Would this work? It'd be creating a sealed area under the pot so not sure if this would limit the amount of heat that'd hit the bottom of the pot....
Thoughts?
