Half Price. Great for storing hops, grains etc. On this week at Woolies. I assume this is nationwide. Ducking out to get some this morning.

Cool I need some of those! Got about 20kgs of various speciality grains in <cough> ziploc bags at present, be nice to have them in a more proper storage vessel....

Or for an even cheaper alternative, I find that 1.5L PETs work for me. I have a constant supply from the home brand sparkling mineral water that the wife drinks. Dont really need to wash them out either, just leave them to dry.
Airtight and easy to pour out into a bowl on the scales.
Each one fits about 1kg of grain, just need a funnel.
Also use 2 & 3L juice bottles.

That's a pearler of an idea Gregor.

How much can you fit in a bottle ( Weight wise )

hey guys. just a note to say i have a few of these at home. i use them to freeze stock and the like. these tubs arent very airtight. liquid will leak out if you invert them. go to the shelf next to these and get the sistema (sp) ones. they have a rubber gasket.

I once posted a screenshot with a tab that I'd forgotten to close... ahem... and never heard the last of it, so I always make sure I include something entertaining in my screen shots nowadays

So do you get your grain from Daves then Gregor, and does he pay you to advertise?

Ok I like this idea and have adopted it. Just store in the cupboard or can be fridged in the bottles?
