Got one to share ?
Tried this Litovel pils yesterday, found it to be a good beer.
Its a 500ml 5%v ABV Czech Pils/Lager, cost ~$4.00 from Celebrations liquor store in Perth.
Has a good strong hop profile but not too bitter. Finishes dry and hoppy but has a supporting malt profile.
Well worth looking for if you are into this style as I am.

Hey Nev

I have my fav pils fermenting in the fridge right now. Very simple recipe but comes out awesome with the right yeast and plenty of it. I love the way this yeast finishes dry but still with plenty of flavour.
  • 100% Wey pils aiming for 4.5-5% ABV
  • Bitter with Czech Saaz to about 25IBU
  • 70gm Czech Saaz at 10 min (40l batch)
  • Wyeast Czech Pils yeast at 12deg
  • At least 4 weeks lagering in the keg. :icon_drool2:
I'll bring one around for you to critique next time I need something.

P.S. Did you get the magneto working?

Look forward to the pils.
Yes magneto works, it was the points. On closer inspection they were quite pitted so having a condenser and points sent from the US.

I'm a fan of draught Krušovice which I've had at Koliba (now taste of Europe) in Melbourne.

I had a few of the Squire Czech pils when i was in melbs, on tap it tastes great.

In the bottle. Shit. Maybe its just cause i had 12 pints.........

Where in the Sydney area can you get Squire on tap? That stuff is delicious
