gas consumption

Anyone using a four ring burner? Just wondering how much gas they chew.

Not having used a 4 ring, but having had a 3 ring, a Mongolian, and NASA burners I found they didn't vary by a great deal. All were a bit over 1kg per 23L batch size. I should add that was measured a few years back when I was doing BIAB, so the LPG was used for all stages of heating.

Yeah around 1 and 1/2 kg per 22 L final volume for me when I measured using an average reg. Haven't measured with the medium pressure though.

it just occurred to me to weigh my bottle! rather than just count the number of brews i get out of it.. at least by weighing i'll have an idea of when it's near running out...

Yeah weighing the bottle is the way to go, bit more accurate
