Gardening Question: What pest is causing this damage to me yucca plant

My yucca's are getting munched! Any ideas what garden 'pest' could be eating them? Once I know I will deal with them

I'll be honest, I haven't actually seen a bug, my first impression was that they looked eaten.

Looks like snails.

I was going for rodents or birds, snails generally eat from the outside in and they leave their telltale trail behind.
