Yup.
I have one. It's a tool primarily designed to tighten and undo oil filters on your motor vehicle.
Works great on stuck jar tops etc as well. I keep ours in the kitchen.

Keep an eye out for 'em at Aldi too, I got a twin pack a while back for under $10 that included a large and medium sized unit. The large is perfect for the huge pipe attachment on my outdoor spa's heater.

I've got the Aldi kit too, mainly for oil filters as my wifes corolla is in a spot it's hard to get a good grip on. Great for so many jobs. I think I may have to throw one in the kitchen for the jar opener.

I have one of these specifically for doing up the lids on my no chill cubes.

I use a drum spanner (from pool shops), mine is actually double sided for two types of drum lids

Also has a bung-screwdriver on the end
