I saw this on ebay...

Has anyone used this particular type? It's made for Micromatic, but seems to be mostly John Guest push connect fittings.

I'm interested to know how it goes... seems a less expensive option than a compensator tap - if it works well!!

I know it's an old thread but just bumping it as I'm curious to kow if these work.

Off the point - Sorry Jimmy / Farside
I am looking to buy my first fridge mounted dispensing Tap, I have come across a tap with a flow restrictor built in (compensated i guess?). Is this a better option than running approx 5m of beer line to give the required resistance for pouring.

no one has an answer mate, you would have got a post if someone did
 
I don't see many people using these simple flow restrictors on their taps but they also do a good job. Mine work perfectly although you don't have the ability to dial them in like the one above I assume or celli flow taps. But they are cheap as chips and do help not to mention looking pretty good imo.
