I guess I am lucky. My loungeroom has a bar at one end, and I can store the latest couple of batches, out of sight, and at room temperature. Does wonders for encouraging carbonation. After two weeks they go down stairs to the beer cellar (off the garage) for maturing.
I'm now slurping a lovely amber ale brewed back in Feb this year. Beautiful. :)
 
After bottling, I have the stubbies in cases.
Its too cold most of the time in anywhere in our house at the moment to carbonate. :eek:
So I put the cases, one on top of the other, on top of the warming mat with the thermostat set to 20C.
After a week I swap the top one with the bottom one and leave them another week and then
they go in the hall cupboard where its about 11C now.
