Filtering Beer Through Activated Carbon

Hi I have a Spirts alcohol carbon filter.

Iwant to know has anyone tried to filter beer through activated carbon and what was the result.

OB,
I haven't tried it but I did read somewhere and I can't remember where now, that carbon filtering can take too much from the beer (tannins) from memory.
There has been some interesting reading on this forum recently on beer filters and if you do a search you might find what you are after
