ok guys,

whats your experiance with the placement of the temp prob (i've scored a mashamate for christmas) relative to the element...?

as i assume one would be above the other... or not...?

the temp probe is say 200mm long, and from memory the element is of simular length. so would you have the element entering from the back and the probe at say... what, parrallel or ninety degres to it...?

anyone got any photos?

Doesn't really matter if you give the water a quick stir every now and then. The only way to get a consistent reading would be to stir the water.
