Hi All,

Sorry if this has been asked a million times before but a search for duotight or temperature brings up an ordinate amount of posts.

What is the temp rating of duotight fittings, i.e is it ok to run boiling liquid through them.
Also is there a difference between white and grey fittings?

Thanks

Kegland lists them as acetal plastic so I assume they are a crystalline engineering type polyacetal/polyoxymethylene thermoplastic.
It can vary depending on actual type but operating temperature is usually listed somewhere around -40 to +80 degC with melting a point up around 180 degC. It will maintain shape/structure until melting point then go very soft.

They are cheap so run some boiling water through one and see what it does? :)
Wouldn't trust it under high pressure though.

EVA barrier tubing on the other hand melts at 90degC so not sure what you would connect to them?
