so being the forgetful mofo that i am, i have my 1332 yeast still sitting in the fridge at uni cos i keep forgetting to bring it home. i also have a cube of DS's Golden ale which i wanted to pitch today, and some 1469 yeast cake.

anyone got any idea what it would turn out like? anyone tried this or similar recipe with an english ale yeast?

Do it....couldn't go too wrong...

Nice chewy malty beer with soft amarillo flavour and aroma...

Who would say no to that?

Just the sort of nudge i was looking for, thanks :D

Be prepared for a wait, though, as the Yorkie yeast takes a while, I've never got one into the bottle in under three weeks yet. Yorkshire ale yeasts are 'evolved' to ferment slowly in the Yorkshire stone square, at a few degrees lower than other ales of the era.
If you can wait, like they say all good things come to those who wait B)
