I have been pondering a two can stout as follows;

2 x Cans of Coopers stout (the cheap white ones)
1 licorice stick
1kg of DME to reduce the bitterness slightly and give it extra body. I like a Guinness type stout.
23l water.

Comments please...

Should come out pretty well. I'd add some roast barely (maybe 200-300), steeped hot water for about 20 minutes to help boost that nice nutty burnt flavour a good dry stout has. Ferment with a clean finishing dry yeast like US05 at 17 degrees to give you a nice, dry, drinkable stout.

Make sure you give it plenty of time in the fermenter. Once you have reached your target FG leave it another 5 days at least just to tidy up. Bottle (or keg) to about 1.5 volumes of CO2 and call me when it is ready to drink :beerbang:
