G'Day Guys,
Here's a quickie.
How much light dry malt extract should I add to 5 litres of water to arrive at S.G. of 1.020?
I put 100 grammes in,boiled for 10 minutes and got a reading of 1.006.Adjusted for temperature and all that jazz.
Thanks Guys.

100g/L gives around 1.040, so 50g/L should be pretty close to 1.020 (maybe slightly less to compensate for the short boil time)

In other words, ~250g into 5L would be fair on the mark.

Sponge

Thanks sponge,Looks like I'll put another 150 grammes in to bring it up.
