Hey guys,

I am starting to package some beers for gifts, doing the whole champagne bottle with label, and was wondering if anyone know where I could get some printed tirage caps just so I can be especially vein.
I have done some searching, but either my googlefu is fading, or there simply isnt anyone out there advertising printed tirage caps.

Anyone in the know? Used someone before?

Thanks.

I purchased a tub of this: http://www.liquitex.com/glossgel/ and printed out a sheet of little logos (in reverse) on a laser printer and cut them to size. Paint the medium on and stick them to my cap. Let it dry them wipe away paper with sponge and you're left with your image on your cap. Can be finished with clear lacquer spray. I'll be doing this for some Christmas brews.

Here's an example on the lid of the container...

Thanks guys,

Mr Giraffe, that looks interesting, though a little tedius.

Tex, there are plenty doing standard caps, but none seem to do the bigger caps

Yob, wax dipping is the other way, although another (possibly messy) step ontop.
Currently researching. Do you have a good source of wax?

Nice, now where can I get it?

I think office works have it? I grabbed this one from a local art supply shop.

Sure do.. its not messy, make sure the bottles arent cold

Blessed are the cheesemakers

Thanks Yob, i think thats the plan for this Christmas, would still like to find some printed tirage caps tho if anyone has any info :)

they have green and red wax so I should think the xmas beers will come off well... get a few cheapo pots from the salvo's (with lids) and cut the bits of wax up small

Red is out of stock, I was wanting blue to go with my labels, but its out of stock too :(

ah well, green it is... or maybe purple... or black

the problem with the glue sticks is that they dilute the colour..

you also cant get single colour crayons in Australia... not from Crayola anyway.. ******* pathetic

Article below on mixing.

Ive actually got some Wax Dye coming to have a play to see if I can get a wax / glue stick blend back to black (currently Grey) but if I were you, just use the cheese wax it's heaps cheaper and just as good B)
