To be honest, I just wanted to check numbers today, my volumes have been out for ages. So designed a 20L brew in beer smith, knocked it back to 17L to fit the Cube and brewed the wort. I got 17.4L out and SG numbers are very close to design so that's all good and it looks like I have this new hardware dialled in for use with and without the plate chiller.

I wasn't intending to do No Chill, I chucked the cube of wort in the pool with a rope around the handle. You think that's as good as an ice bath. I won't have fermentor space til the new year.

I've not done this before. I've always chilled and dropped wort into a fermentor.

I've been using the pool for years. It works a treat. That said, I have no other method to compare. But the pool is easy, effective and you can leave the cube until you're ready to brew. Win, win, win!

Great. I wasn't to confident about adjusting hop quantities for no chill. Just seems to be to many unknowns for a no chill novice.
I have the volume to do 34 litre batches so 17 hot litres in a cube and chill 17 litres into a fermentor. Add 3 litres of water and yeast to that one.
I'll open that cube I have in the new year for a look and ferment it if it looks ok. Cheers.
